Chellie's campaign tops 1,000 online contributions

We have reached a huge milestone -- 1,000 online contributions!

Bill and Monica Grabin of Kennebunk made contribution #1,000. We asked them to tell us why:

We're delighted to have made the 1000th online contribution to the Chellie Pingree for Congress campaign. We hope (and are confident) that many more will join us.

There's no question that our country is currently in rather desperate need of a great deal of help and change. Yet Washington is an exceptionally difficult place for even the best intentioned to accomplish much. That's part of why Chellie is such an exceptional candidate.

In addition to all she's done in Maine and the honesty and clarity with which she presents her positions and considerations on issues, Chellie has used her years at Common Cause to tremendous benefit, strengthening her knowledge of Washington and her relationships with countless legislators and active parties on both sides of the aisle, both in Washington and across the country. This has given her the experience to make a real difference early on, well beyond what might be expected from a freshman legislator.

We need people like Chellie working and fighting for the issues that mean so much to us!
