Pingree family celebrates a wedding!

Mike Mayo hosts longtime Chellie supporters

On a July afternoon, Mike Mayo fired up the fryers and opened up his backyard for a get-together of more than 50 Chellie supporters who had volunteered on her earlier campaigns. It was like a family reunion, as friends recalled funny or poignant moments on the campaign trail together.

Chellie spoke to the assembled group about her reasons for running for Congress, thanked everyone there for their help in past campaigns, and invited them to be a part of this campaign. The light rain showers didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the group -- and the consensus was that the party was a great kickoff for volunteers in the northern part of the district!
